Our next quarterly meeting will be Sunday, October 7th, 2012 at 5 pm.
Join Americans United for Separation of Church and State
You will have the greatest impact on church-state issues both nationally and locally by joining AU. Members of Americans United receive the periodical Church and State (published monthly, except in August), and a portion of membership dues is returned to our local chapter to help fund initiatives here in Charleston. Visit the national Americans United website and click on “Contribute Now” in the upper right-hand corner.
Attend a Meeting
Our local AU chapter holds quarterly meetings (on Sundays, from 5-6:30 P.M.) at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 1293 Orange Grove Road (West Ashley), in the gymnasium. You do not need to be an AU member to participate; just show up! For directions or other information: Call 571-5710 or 556-1417 or E-mail: office (at) fcccharleston.org.
Write Letters to the Editor
See something in the paper that doesn’t jive with our First Amendment? Do you feel a need to set the record straight about something? Do not hesitate to send a letter to the editor of any of our local papers. This is a great way to show that people do care about the separation of church and state in the Lowcountry. E-mail letters using the information below. Please include your full name and contact information. Unverified letters cannot be printed.

Report a Violation
If you see something that doesn’t seem quite right, it’s best to speak up right away. E-mail Monty Knight, our president at office (at) fcccharleston.org. He is a good contact to determine if any laws have been violated and can take action on your behalf.
